There were delays in Maidstone this morning after a crash involving a car and a tractor.

Old Tovil Road was closed in both directions between Eccleston Road and College Road following the collision, at 5.55am.

Emergency services have been called and Kent Highways is advising drivers to use an alternative route.

It reopened shortly after 9am, after the vehicles were removed from the scene.

No injuries were reported.
