Maidstone: Delays on Fairmeadow due to gyratory roadworks

There were delays in Maidstone this morning, due to roadworks on the gyratory system.

Traffic in Fairmeadow, between the bridge and White Rabbit Roundabout, was affected this morning leading to queues of around 15 minutes.

Roadworks started on the one-way system last month and will continue until at least November.

Works taking place on the gyratoryThe £5.7 million project will see improvements, including additional lanes, aimed at reducing congestion in the town centre.

They are now in the second phase, meaning there will be a permanent lane closure of 100m after Stacey’s Street roundabout.
