Kent police investigate attempted robbery in Highland Road, Maidstone after man forced from his car as he delivered parcel

Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Maidstone when a delivery man was forced from his car in broad daylight.

A 41-year-old man was delivering the package to an address in Highland Road at 1pm on Friday.

He reported that as he returned to his car – a blue Renault Megane - a man forced him from the car and attempted to take it.

The suspect, who was dressed in black, was unsuccessful and left the scene.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses.
