Boy, 16, found hurt after 'assault' in Maidstone

Police are appealing for information after a teenager claimed he had been assaulted.

The 16-year-old, who had cuts and cruises, was stopped by officers in Beaumont Road, Maidstone, at 7am on Saturday.

He told them he had been assaulted in the early hours in Sutton Road at the Mangravet Avenue junction.

Police are now appealing for anyone who might have witnessed what happened, which is thought to have been between 4.45am and 7am, to come forward.
