Maidstone: Man and teenager arrested in Collis Park after drugs seized

Police have arrested two suspected drug dealers in a Maidstone park.

Plain clothes officers approached the two men who were acting suspiciously in Collis Park off Basing Close at 3.40pm on Thursday.

When one of them, an 18-year-old from London, was reportedly seen to place a number of small packages in his mouth, he and a 38-year-old from Yalding, were arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug.

A quantity of drugs believed to be cocaine was later seized by the officers.

The 38-year-old man was subsequently released pending further investigation and the teenager remains in police custody while the investigation is ongoing.
