Kent Police release efit of sexual assault suspect following attack in Queen Anne Road, Maidstone

Police have released an e-fit of a man who pinned a teenager against a wall and sexually assaulted her while holding her by the neck.

The victim was walking in Queen Anne Road, Maidstone, on Saturday, March 14 when the suspect approached her from behind, started walking next to her and talked to her.

She was walking from the direction of King Street shortly after 11pm and the victim managed to push the man off before he ran away.

An efit of the suspect was released this afternoon by Kent Police.

The man is described as black and with a London accent. He is in his late 20s or early 30s and slim.

He is approximately 5ft 7ins and has short black hair with facial stubble.

At the time he was wearing light blue jeans and a brown or black leather jacket.

Investigating officer PC Susan Vidgeon said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim, who we are now very grateful for helping us compile what is a very clear e-fit image.

"This assault occurred in a fairly busy road where motorists may also have witnessed the incident."

"It is also possible that residents or pedestrians will have heard the victim shouting at the offender to let her go. I would urge anyone with information to come forward."
