Emergency response to incident at County Hall, Maidstone

A woman was resuscitated near County Hall in Maidstone this morning.

Paramedics, a fire crew and police were called at 10am and a cordon was erected near the Sessions House entrance, in County Road.

One ambulance, a response car, the air ambulance road crew, three police vehicles and a fire engine were called but by half past the woman had been taken to William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, in a serious condition.

A police spokesman: "Officers attended the scene where a woman received medical treatment from ambulance crews. She was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention."
