Firefighters tackled a fire involving of rubbish in the back of a refuse truck in Lenham this morning.

Crews were called to the incident on Hubbards Hil at approximately 8.30am.

On arrival they found smoke pluming from the back of the vehicle and used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze.

They left at around 9.16am after isolating the incident.
