Fine folk at festival in Loose, Maidstone

Villagers took to the streets to enjoy a traditional knees-up.

People headed to Loose on Saturday for the community’s first Folk Day.

The heart of the festival was in Old Loose Hill, including Brooks Field, which was filled with entertainers from 11am.

Visitors watched morris dancing, buskers, stalls, games and live music, while All Saints Church kept them refreshed with cream teas and The Chequers Inn hosted a sing-a-long.

The one-day event was finished off with a concert from the Atlantic Currants.
