Comedian Alan Carr to appear at the Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone, in a one-off gig in July, it's been announced

Comedian Alan Carr is coming to Maidstone next month in a last minute gig which is expected to sell out in hours.

Tickets went on sale for the intimate Work in Progress date, on Tuesday, July 1, at the Hazlitt Theatre today (Thursday).

It will kick start his new national tour.

Natalie Price, general manager at the Earl Street venue, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Alan back to the Hazlitt again with a support act.

"He was so popular last time tickets just flew out. Comedy at the Hazlitt has a loyal following so we expect tickets to go very quickly."

Gary Roden, managing director of Parkwood Theatres, which runs the Hazlitt, said: "We are very pleased to see the return of such a well known artist and hope that the people of Maidstone enjoy another great show at the Hazlitt Theatre.

"We are committed to bringing bigger acts to our venues each year and this is a fantastic addition to our existing programme."
