The Last Shadow Puppets film BBC's Later... with Jools Holland in Maidstone

The Last Shadow Puppets are the latest band to arrive in Kent for the filming of Later... with Jools Holland at Maidstone Studios.

The English-American group, featuring Arctic Monkeys star Alex Turner and former solo artist Miles Kane, has just arrived at the venue in New Cut Road.

They are the latest in a series of stars to jet into the county town for the BBC Two programme, with Iggy Pop performing last week and global superstar Sir Elton John flying in the previous week.

The Last Shadow Puppets will perform tracks from their second LP in eight years, the chart-topping Everything You've Come to Expect.

The show will go out live this evening and be repeated on Saturday and Sunday.

American blues singer, songwriter and slide guitar player Bonnie Raitt, Malian kora (a 21-string lute-bridge-harp) player Ballake Sissoko and French cellist Vincent Segal will also perform.

NAO will make her TV debut with her neo-soul, electro and R&B sound, while alt-rock group Dinosaur Jr will play on the show for the first time.

Finally, Zucchero, dubbed 'the father of the Italian blues' will perform a track at the piano.

Dating show Take Me Out, quiz show Catchphrase and a number of children's favourites are among other shows that have been filmed at Maidstone Studios over the years.
