Firefighters were called to a blaze at a boatyard in Allington this afternoon.

A large area of woodland was alright at Foords Wharf, a boatyard off the River Medway.

Two crews used hose reels and a water shuttle to bring the fire under control.

Crews left the scene at 4.20pm after spending two hours making the site safe.

Owners say there has been no extensive damage to the site.
