Two lanes of the A229 Fairmeadow were blocked after a lorry and car crashed this morning.

Emergency services, including three police cars and an ambulance were called to the scene of the collision around 11.30am. This caused long tailbacks along the southbound carriageway.

The black Ford had damage to the bodywork of the rear driver's side.

It is not known yet if anyone was injured.

All lanes have now reopened.
