A spokesman for Kent Police said the vehicle came to a stop near the property but did not touch it. This is disputed by residents.

Clinton Green, 74, said the lorry was heading towards Bardsley Farms.

He said: "No one was hurt but all the residents are furious because signs went up about six months ago warning about the unsuitability of the road for lorries."
