Man cut from car after crashing on A249 Detling Hill

A man had to be cut from the wreckage of his car after he crashed on Detling Hill late last night.

Two fire crews were called to the Sheppey-bound section of the A249 at midnight after the collision, which did not involve any other vehicles.

They spent just over an hour at the scene and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the driver, who was then taken to hospital for further treatment.
