A man in his 40s was freed from a car after a two-vehicle crash with a bus in Boxley this morning.

An ambulance crew attended the scene in Lidsing Road, at the bottom of Boxley Hill, at 9.55am, but firefighters were called when it appeared the man was trapped.

It took about an hour to rescue the man using hydraulic equipment.

He was then taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital with back injuries.
