Appeal after man hit by car in Lower Boxley Road, Maidstone

A man remains in a serious condition after being hit by a car in Maidstone.

Police now want anyone who saw the pedestrian being knocked over in Lower Boxley Road yesterday afternoon to come forward.

The accident happened at around 3pm, and involved a black Toyota Yaris which was travelling towards Well Road.

The pedestrian, a man in his 20s and from the Maidstone area, was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made.

Officers now want to talk to anyone who saw the incident or the Yaris or pedestrian in the moments beforehand.
