With London hidden beneath a cloud of smog, some may think it a little ironic that Ed Davey, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, chose today to visit Maidstone to investigate the town’s pollution problem.

Liberal Democrat minister Mr Davey is to join his party’s Parliamentary hopeful Jasper Gerard and Kent MEP Catherine Bearder for a tour of the town’s pollution hotspots - as well as visiting Finch Court, an eco-friendly sustainable housing development at Dickens Road, Ringlestone.
