Police appeal after stabbing in Bank Street, Maidstone

Police are appealing for information after a woman was stabbed in the early hours.

Officers were called to reports of an assault in Bank Street, Maidstone, at about 1.40am.

They were joined by a crew from the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 1.41am on Sunday to reports of an assault in Bank Street, Maidstone.

"Officers attended the scene with the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"A woman was treated at the scene for injuries described as a small laceration."

"Inquiries remain ongoing."
