Police helicopter called out to search for man in Barming, Maidstone

Police officers needed the assistance of the force helicopter in an overnight search.

Patrols on the ground called the chopper, which serves Kent and Essex, to help them in the Barming area of Maidstone

Teams had started looking for a man who they were concerned for at about 8pm yesterday.

He was located by officers at an address near Clare Park in East Malling, at about 1.30am today and was taken to Maidstone Hospital, in Hermitage Lane, to be checked over.

The 39-year-old was subsequently arrested on suspicion of breaching a non-molestation order.
