Puppies seized from home in Maidstone

Police, working together with the RSPCA, have seized a litter of puppies amid concerns for their welfare.

Officers were called to Well Street in Maidstone at around 9.30am today.

They were joined by inspectors from the animal charity.

Police said in a tweet they had "seized six puppies and mum as a result of animal welfare concerns."
