There were long rush hour queues for commuters using the M20 this morning.

A collision, involving two cars, blocked the London-bound carriageway between J4 at Leybourne and J5 at Aylesford.

Police were called at 6.40am but the accident had been moved to the hard shoulder by the time they arrived.

No injuries were reported.

Traffic was still queuing back to J7 at Detling until 9am.

In a separate accident, drivers were warned of delays on the A20 at Ditton after a crash near the junction with Hermitage Lane.

Kent Police were still at the scene at 8am.
