Jamie Lee Stevens, of Allington, in court over alleged breaches of sexual offences prevention order

A convicted sex offender has been remanded in custody after denying breaching his sexual offences prevention order twice.

Jamie Lee Stevens, 30, of Hildenborough Crescent, Allington, is accused of flouting the strict conditions on two occasions last month by trespassing.

Stevens appeared in front of magistrates yesterday where he was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be decided.

The SOPO means he must wear at least one layer of clothing over his pants at all times, unless in a swimming pool where he must wear trunks; cannot urinate in a public place or a private place if visible to passersby; cannot loiter in alleyways; and cannot enter beyond boundaries of private residences without the permission of the owner.
