The Works returns to Maidstone today.

The book store, which previously occupied a unit on Week Street, will now be in The Mall.

The grand opening will be at 9am.

It moved out of its previous home after a fire ripped through the building last year.

The blaze broke out in the early hours of the morning on June 8.

At its height, it was tackled by 90 firefighters.

The business tweeted yesterday to say it is excited to return to the town.

The store will have lots of offers over the Bank Holiday weekend, including a special 30% off for "Together" card members.

Suzie Brindle, marketing manager for The Mall, said: "I am really pleased to have The Works back, not only in the town but here in The Mall.

"They have a great range of products for the whole family and will make a great addition to the centre."
