Tonbridge suffered a comprehensive home defeat to Bromley in the Blue Square Bet South Kent derby at Longmead on Saturday.

Mike Jones latched on to a long goal-kick and made no mistake from close range to put the visitors in front after 11 minutes.

Two minutes later Bormley were awarded a penalty, following Gary Elphick’s handball, but Danny Waldren’s spot-kick was saved by Angels keeper Lee Worgan.

Tommy Warrilow's (pictured) side fell further behind four minutes before the break when Aaron Rhule scored the visitors’ second.

George Purcell then failed to capitalise on a chance to reduce the deficit in the final minute of the first half.

Rory Hill saw a shot cleared off the line for Angels after the break, but Bromley went further ahead after 57 minutes. Joe Pigott’s long range shot flew past Worgan into the net to put the result beyond doubt.
