Traffic was held up for more than six hours as the A21 was closed for a crash near Sevenoaks.

The two-car pile-up yesterday involved a blue Nissan and a white Vauxhall Comb van - both travelling northbound.

The Nissan driver suffered minor injuries in the crash at 10.35pm, just before the A25 junction.

The van driver - a 33-year-old man from Caterham in Surrey - was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

The road was closed for more than six hours for officers to investigate.

Anyone with information should call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit’s witness appeal line on 01622 798358 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
