Man killed on M20 at Maidstone near Lunsford Lane bridge crossing

A pedestrian was killed on the M20 at Maidstone last night in an incident involving a lorry.

It happened at around 10.50pm near where the Lunsford Lane bridge crosses the motorway which resulted in the road being closed for more than five hours.

It is thought the man may have fallen from the bridge, prior to being hit by the lorry.

Police have now launched a serious collision investigation following the incident.

Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the man on the bridge or the collision, or who have dashcam video evidence of what happened.
