Southeastern trains between London and Maidstone East delayed due to signalling problems

Commuters are warned of rush-hour delays due to signalling problems on the Maidstone East Line.

Southeastern said services between Maidstone and Ashford are suspended while the fault is fixed.

Trains between London and Maidstone via West Malling are also disrupted.

Replacement buses are being arranged to ferry passengers between Maidstone and Ashford.

Meanwhile, services between Paddock Wood and Strood via Maidstone West are cancelled due to train crew shortages. Disruption is expected to continue into the night.

Earlier, services in and out of London Charing Cross were suspended after a lineside fire.
