Five vehicles damaged in suspected arson attacks in Old Tovil Road, Maidstone

Five vehicles have been damaged in a series of arson attacks in Tovil, Maidstone, police say.

Firefighters were called to a Ford Tipper van on fire in Old Tovil Road just after 3.30am today. The fire also damaged an adjacent transit van.

Police and crews were later called to a Peugeot 5008 alight in Old Tovil Road at 3.48am and another Ford Tipper van on fire in Launder Road at 4.28am the same morning.

A BMW motorcycle was also damaged by fire in Old Tovil Road between 10.30pm on Thursday 7.30am the following morning.

Officers are treating the fires as suspicious are asking anyone with information to call 01622 604100 quoting crime reference 18-0145. Alternatively contact Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
