Four people were arrested in a drugs raid in Maidstone on Wednesday.

The warrant was executed by neighbourhood officers on Wednesday afternoon at Sunningdale Court in Square Hill Road, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A 42-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from Maidstone, were arrested with a 16-year-old girl from Middlesex and a 16-year-old boy from Surrey, all on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

They were all later released on bail until Wednesday, April 16, while inquiries continue. Substances believed to be Class A drugs were seized, along with cash and mobile phones.

Investigating officer PC Amy Ezzi from Maidstone police station, said: "This enforcement was as a result of intelligence we had received around the supply of drugs in Maidstone.

"Hopefully it will give others the confidence to report suspicions around drug use and show that we will use the information to take action to disrupt and prevent drug sale or use within Maidstone."
