Van used to ram into barriers during suspected burglary in Aylesford

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a van rammed through shutters of a business at a retail park.

Police were called just after 9pm yesterday after a Ford Transit hit the front of a store in Wood Close, Quarry Wood, Aylesford.

A number of power tools are thought to have been stolen from the property before the van then sped off.

Minutes later officers identified a suspicious vehicle and followed it towards the M20 motorway, before bringing to to stop near J3.

Three teenage boys, along with two men aged 24 and 19, were arrested and remain in custody. The van has been seized by police and property reported as stolen has also been recovered.
