Motorists have been warned to face delays in and around Maidstone tonight.

Drivers were already told to prepare for extra traffic as a result of the M2 chaos but other closures are expected to add to the woes.

Brishing Lane, in Boughton Monchelsea, has been shut until further notice due to flooding and a fallen tree has blocked Hollingbourne Hill.

People are advised to take extra care on Hunton Hill after reports of a minor landslide.

The Sheppey Crossing and QEII Bridge at the Dartford Crossing have both been closed because of high winds battering the county.
