Nicole Parnell, 22, from Maidstone, dies more than a week after crash at the junction of Lughorse Lane and Hunton Hill

A devastated mum has paid tribute to her 'mad, crazy and stunningly beautiful' daughter who died more than a week after a car crash.

Nicole Parnell, 22, suffered serious head injuries when her blue Peugeot 307 crashed at the junction with Lughorse Lane and Hunton Hill on Friday, December 19.

She was thought to have been on her way home from work.

Her mum Sharon, 49, said: "She was mad, crazy and stunningly beautiful. She was loved by everyone and always the life and soul of the party.

"She loved her care work and to socialise.

"We are absolutely devastated by her loss.

Nicole who lived in the local area, was taken to King's College Hospital in London, where she was pronounced dead in the early hours of yesterday after the difficult decision was made to turn off her life support machine.

Mrs Parnell said: "On Christmas Eve we realised there was not much hope left as her injuries were so bad and we said our goodbyes to her on Monday night.

"We have donated her organs so hopefully a bit of her will live on. It is what she would have wanted and we just hope it stops other families going through the heartache we are going through."

Her father Paul, 50, added: "We would like to say a massive thank you to all her amazing friends that stayed with her throughout and supported us since the accident."

She had been working as a carer and attended Hunton Primary School and Cornwallis Academy.

She leaves her mum, dad Paul and three brothers, Jack, 14, Tom 17 and 24-year-old Jamie.
