A woman had to be cut free from her vehicle after a collision with a stationary car.

The accident happened just after midnight on Sunday on the coastbound A21 at Morleys roundabout.

Two fire engines, the air ambulance, police and paramedic crews were at the scene.

Fire crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to cut the roof off one of the cars and free the driver - a woman thought to be in her 30s.

She was flown to a hospital by the air ambulance.

Emergency services left the scene at 1.35am.
