Collision in Maidstone sees woman taken to King's College Hospital with head injuries and man taken to Maidstone Hospital

A woman has been taken to hospital with head injuries after she was hit by a car in Maidstone.

The victim was taken by road to King's College Hospital in London after sustaining head and arm injuries.

South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene of the incident in Sandling Road just before 8pm yesterday.

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance also sent a road crew.

Two ambulances, two paramedic cars and police attended.

The man who was driving was taken to Maidstone Hospital with minor injuries.
