Kent Police pick up woman at Junction 8 of the M20 for Leeds

A woman who ran across a busy motorway got a telling off from police.

Kent Police received numerous calls from concerned drivers about the 61-year-old pedestrian, who was walking on the London bound carriageway near junction 8 of the M20 at around 9pm yesterday.

Officers attended and picked up the woman, who had run across the carriageway and was standing in the central reservation near the Leeds turn off.

She was taken to a nearby service station where she received advice on her actions before getting a lift home.
