X Factor boy band District3 will be delighting the crowds on Thursday evening when they switch on the Christmas lights in Tunbridge Wells.

The boys, who were voted out of the hit ITV show at the weekend, will be at the Royal Victoria Place for the switch-on party on Thursday (November 15), performing live and flicking the switch at 6.30pm.

Dan, 19, Micky, 18, and Greg, 18, were eliminated after going head to head with rival boy band Union J.

Santa will also be at the partry after processing from the Assembly Hall Theatre from 4.15pm. Basil Brush star Chris Pizzey, who will be playing Muddles in the theatre's pantomime Snow White, will also be joining Santa in his grotto from 5pm, which is at the food court terrace.

Royal Victoria Place marketing manager, Marc Burchett, said: "The highlight of the night will be our spectacular switch on party and we are all very excited about securing District3 from X Factor to perform the honour of lighting up Royal Victoria Place for the festive season."
