Maidstone United agree deal to keep QPR's Alex Finney for the remainder of the season

Alex Finney has agreed to stay on loan at Maidstone United until the end of the season.

The Queens Park Rangers defender broke his jaw in two places during Stones' 2-2 draw at Dover on Boxing Day.

He is now recovering after surgery.

Prior to the injury he was a regular in the Maidstone defence and manager Jay Saunders was glad to have him back.

Saunders, speaking to the club website, said: “I am delighted to get the loan extended and that he’s our player until the end of the season.

“Before the injury happened we had agreement to extend and it’s good to get it over the line.

“QPR have been superb and a pleasure to deal with. Like us, they just want to see Alex fit and playing again as soon as possible.”
