Almost 1,000 general sale tickets for Maidstone's last game of the season sold out in just two-and-a-half hours.

Queues formed outside the Gallagher Stadium at 9am on Tuesday morning - three hours before tickets went on sale.

Stones will be presented with the Ryman League Premier Division trophy after Saturday's home match against East Thurrock, in front of a capacity crowd of 2,226.

That will be followed by a title party in the Spitfire Lounge.

Stones secretary Ian Tucker said: "There was a phenomenal demand for tickets. Those without are still welcome to join our after-match party, which starts around 5pm."
