Maidstone sign striker Shamir Mullings from Forest Green Rovers

Maidstone boss Jay Saunders has signed his second striker in as many days.

Stones have added Shamir Mullings just 24 hours after persuading Joe Quigley to join following his release by Bournemouth at the end of last season.

Mullings has penned a one-year deal at the Gallagher after leaving League 2 outfit Forest Green.

Mullings had been on trial at Swindon in pre-season, scoring for them at Cirencester last week.

The 24-year-old 6ft 5inch striker came to prominence at Havant and then Chelmsford, his goals and quality up front persuading Forest Green to pay an undisclosed fee for his services.

Mullings started his career at Southend and has also had spells at Bromley, Thamesmead and Hampton, whom he joined on loan last season.
