Maidstone United boss Jay Saunders to discuss Joe Healy's future as midfielder says he will miss start of National League season

Joe Healy’s future is high on Maidstone manager Jay Saunders’ agenda.

Saunders needs to speak to key midfielder Healy, who will miss the start of next season even if he stays at the Gallagher Stadium.

Saunders said: “Joe’s got a couple of weddings in the summer and then he’s going travelling to see his brother.

“About a month ago he said he’d like to stay but was in a situation where he would miss the first part of the season, regardless of what league we were in.

“He said he was happy to sign forms and play when he got back. It’s something we’ve got to look at.”
