Maidstone United welcome Seth Twumasi back to the Gallagher

Seth Twumasi is set to return to Maidstone United after rejecting Football League offers.

Stones manager Jay Saunders believed he had seen the last of Twumasi, due to a combination of his academy commitments in Ghana and interest from League 2 Cheltenham.

The right-back hasn’t played for Stones since early December but should be back for Saturday’s National League game at Guiseley.

Saunders said: “Seth's coming back. He had a couple of full-time offers that would have affected his academy work.

"We had a good chat and we're trying to sort something, which would be a big plus because he's a player with good experience and he did well in the short time he was with us, and that was training once a week.

“I’ve made it clear that I need him to commit to training all the time.

“He’s a good defender and I didn’t want to lose him.”
