Maidstone United could recall Vas Karagiannis from Dulwich Hamlet loan

Maidstone could be ready to recall Vas Karagiannis from his loan spell at Dulwich Hamlet.

The winger has scored a number of eye-catching goals for the Ryman League club, showing the form that earned a move to United in the first place.

His loan runs out on Boxing Day but with Stones short on numbers, boss Jay Saunders could bring him back for the National League game against North Ferriby on Saturday.

Saunders said: "Vas is one we’ve got to think about.

"We can call him back if we need him so it may be something we have to look at for the league game next week because we are thin on the ground."

Maidstone missed out on a striker last week but have a new target.

Saunders said: "We’re still looking at bringing players in.

"I don’t want to say we’re definitely getting people in because it keeps backfiring on me but, fingers crossed, we might have a player by next Saturday."
