Tonbridge have signed Hyde striker Tom Collins on loan until the end of the season.

The former Stockport forward scored four times in 21 games for Skrill Premier strugglers Hyde and had been on loan at Bishop’s Stortford.

Angels were in the market for a striker having missed out on extending Brighton youngster Shamir Goodwin’s loan into a third month.

Collins, 21, trained with the squad on Tuesday and manager Tommy Warrilow is pleased to have him for the rest of the Skrill South campaign, starting at Weston on Saturday.

He said: “Hyde have been decent regarding the financial side, otherwise the deal would have been a non-starter.

“He scored a couple of goals against us when he was at Hayes & Yeading, so I was aware of him. He’s pacey, has a great touch and good awareness of what’s going on around him.

“I’d have been happy to have him for a month but I asked the agent if he could see out the season, which Hyde were happy with."
