Welling boss Loui Fazakerley has signed midfielder Ricky Wellard from Conference South Sutton United.

Wellard put pen to paper at Park View Road on Friday morning after agreeing to join the Wings for the 2015/16 season.

Wellard is well known to Welling fans from his time with Salisbury, who the Wings edged to the Conference South title in 2012/13.

The 27-year-old was also part of the AFC Wimbledon team that won promotion to the Football League and has previously featured for Cambridge United.

He is the second new signing for Fazakerley so far this summer after he also snapped up forward Sahr Kabba.

Meanwhile, defender Chris Bush has signed for Lincoln City after a one-year stay at Welling.
