Fremlin Walk Christmas Event 2008

Following the incredible success of its 2007 debut, Father Christmas's Winter Wonderland returns to Fremlin Walk on November 13. Father Christmas, his real reindeer and some new furry husky friends return back to the Walk for an evening of festivities. Fremlin Walk's sparkling Christmas decorations, lights and grotto will be switched on to transform the centre into a winter wonderland and herald the beginning of The Walk's festive shopping period.
The evening commences with a grand procession led by Father Christmas being pulled along by reindeer on his antique sleigh. Musical entertainment, carol singers, hot food, free mince pies and mulled wine will set a festive atmosphere, while naughty elves, Christmas trees and toy soldiers entertain shoppers. Jack and his fellow characters from the Hazlitt Theatre's pantomine "Jack and the Beanstalk" will also be joining the celebrations and greeting the public in the main entrance to House of Fraser.
A fantastic competition to win a £1,000 shopping spree at Fremlin Walk will be launched on the evening and run until the end of December. Entry forms will be handed out on the night as well as available to pick up in all stores.
There will also be a chance for a child to win a place on Santa's sleigh, £100 shopping vouchers, and family pantomime tickets to see the Hazlitt Theatre's "Jack and the Beanstalk.". In addition to help you get your Christmas shopping underway, there will be special offers, discounts and giveaways available from many stores on the night, as well as longer opening hours in the run up to Christmas. The walk will be open for late night shopping every Thursday until 9pm from November 13th.
