We apologise to this man, Charlie Hilden, who has been wrongly identified in a court story.

Earlier today a piece was published online about a burglar called Charlie Hilden, from Snodland, jailed for 10 years earlier this week.

The court report originally carried this picture and we wish to make clear the court case is not concerning this man, also called Charlie Hilden.

Mr Hilden, from Maidstone, is not connected with the court case in any way. We removed this picture from the court story as soon as we became aware of the situation.

We are very sorry for this mistake and for any distress caused.
