Snodland: Appeal after distraction burglary involving fake police officers in Coombe Close

Police are appealing for help collaring two frausters who posed as police officers to target a home in Snodland.

A man and woman knocked on the door of an address in Coombe Close between 11pm and 12.22am on Monday.

They told the woman who opened the door that they needed to see whether something had been thrown in her back garden.

The victim, aged in her 50s, was alone at the property at the time. She took the man into the back garden while the woman stayed at the front door.

When the man and woman left the address the victim found a quantity of cash worth £400 and jewellery was missing from her bedroom.

The man is described as 30 to 40 years old, white, 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, unshaven and short, dark brown hair.

The woman is described as aged between 20 to 30 years old, white, 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with mousey hair tied into a ponytail.

Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone with information about the burglary or the identity of the offenders.
