Part of a busy road will be shut for six weeks to enable gas works to take place.
Southern Gas Networks is investing £520,000 in replacing old mains and services in the New Hythe Lane area of Larkfield.
Old mains will be replaced with new plastic pipes to ensure a safe and reliable gas supply for the area.
Work will begin on Monday, and New Hythe Lane will be shut around the work area between London Road and Laburnum Drive while work takes place.
The work, which will consist of three phases, will take six weeks to complete.
A signed diversion will be in place for through traffic.
All local businesses will remain open as usual.
