Police helicopter scrambled after burglars 'used angle grinder to break into storage container in Kings Hill'

A man has been arrested following a large-scale search for suspected burglars believed to have stolen power tools from a storage container.

The police helicopter was eventually deployed after officers were called at around 2am on Saturday to reports of suspicious behaviour at a location off Gibson Drive.

It was alleged three men had been seen using an angle grinder to access a storage container.

Patrols attended and carried out a search of the area, assisted by a police helicopter.

A number of items, believed to be stolen, were recovered close to the container.

One of the suspects was located and arrested.

Aged 34 and of no fixed address, he was later released, pending further investigation.
